SCHOOL – AGE CARE

The Children’s School at Saint John’s provides a balanced approach to its program for school-age children, giving just the right mix of academics and fun for your school-age child before and after school.

Our program is offered to students, grades first through third grade at Cynwyd Elementary School and Merion Elementary School. Weather permitting, the children will walk with a teacher to and from Cynwyd Elementary School. In inclement weather, the children will be transported by our school van equipped with age appropriate booster seats and seat belts. All children with be transported to and from Merion Elementary School by school van.

Before School Care

Our Before School Care will include relaxing activities to help prepare your child for their transition into their classroom. These activities  will include computer time, puzzles, games, and reading areas. You can feel confident knowing your child is in good hands!

After School Care

Our After School Care will include a healthy snack, the start of homework, computer time, dramatic play, gross motor activities, table games, art activities, and quiet/reading areas. At the end of the day, your child will have had fun with their friends AND started their homework.

Snow/Vacation/In-Service Days

Snow/Vacation/In-Service Days are not a problem at all at The Children’s School. If  your child’s school is closed or closing early, and The Children’s School is open,  we will gladly care for your child for those extended hours.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is offered to children who have completed Kindergarten through third grade from any area school or district. It consists of a ten week, full day program to accommodate working parent’s schedules.

The CAMP is staffed with 2 counselors and can accommodate up to 20 children. There are many exciting activities planned  throughout the entire summer to include  a balance of interests that are educational, sports related, artistic and just plain FUN!!
